Inspiration Sunday: Carrie Underwood’s something in the Water

Hey there!
Thank you for reading my blog!

Happy Sunday everyone! Hoping you all has a wonderful Sunday morning. Today is inspiration Sunday. It features the song that I just heard recently. Something in the water by Carrie Underwood, she has co-written the song that tackles her faith. The song has been hitting the air waves and tops billboard charts after its release. It is part of the upcoming album of Carrie Underwood the greatest hits.

What I love the long is its message. The start of the lyrics is a testimony of who we are before we know Christ. It is a reminder that no one can save us except Christ. And the next part of the lyrics is so uplifting, a testimony worth sharing. The moment we follow God, we are changed and we become stronger in faith. And we become happier and more contented. Our life changes and it’s in a positive note.

God can change your life no matter how ruined it is. Something in the Water is a reminder. Listen to the song and be inspired in Carrie Underwood’s testimony through song.

Here are the lyrics.

He said, "I've been where you've been before.
Down every hallway's a slamming door."
No way out, no one to come and save me
Wasting a life that the Good Lord gave me

Then somebody said what I'm saying to you
Opened my eyes and told me the truth."
They said, "Just a little faith, it'll all get better."
So I followed that preacher man down to the river

And now I'm changed
And now I'm stronger

There must've been something in the water
Oh, there must've been something in the water
Well, I heard what he said and I went on my way
Didn't think about it for a couple of days

Then it hit me like a lightning late one night
I was all out of hope and all out of fight
Couldn't fight back the tears so I fell on my knees
Saying, "God, if you're there come and rescue me."

Felt love pouring down from above
Got washed in the water, washed in the blood

And now I'm changed
And now I'm stronger

There must be something in the water
Oh, there must be something in the water
And now I'm singing along to amazing grace
Can't nobody wipe this smile off my face

Got joy in my heart, angels on my side
Thank God almighty, I saw the light
Gonna look ahead, no turning back
Live everyday, give it all that I have

Trust in someone bigger than me
Ever since the day that I believed

I am changed
And now I'm stronger

There must be something in the water
Oh, there must be something in the water
Oh, there must be something in the water
Oh, there must be something in the water
Oh, yeah I am changed
Stronger

Daily Diary: God is Knocking

Credits to the Owner of the Photo

Today, I realize that I am so blessed. I have everything I want; I am living the life everybody might want to live. It is not perfect yet it is real. It is not abundant but I have enough. In the past few months, I did not notice it. I keep on wanting to have something, better for that matter. I did not realize, what I have is more than enough. I’m even lucky; I have a job, a family, small business, trust worthy friends and I can buy the things I need and want.

I’m so blinded. In the past few months, I’ve been yearning for something. Looking for something, my heart keeps telling me something is missing. I have this longing in a big time way. Last Saturday, I was able to read the books I had bought. One is the Daily Bread and the Second is Refreshing Words for Busy Women, and my longing has been answered. It has been months that I attended a Church service of a local church I am attending. Needless to say, my soul is in anorexic. It is hungry for the word of God, listening to Christian songs almost every day is not enough. It is only a part, God’s word delivered in the church and mingling to fellow believers is much important. It is vital for our existence.

It is said in Matthew 4:4, “Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'

When your heart is longing for something that you cannot define even you almost have it all. Check your life, maybe you are missing something. The man hang in the cross for your sins is knocking at your heart. He wants to come in. The question is will you be willing to open him.

Note to Self: Count Your Blessings

Have you been in a situation that you feel everything is beyond your control? You feel that the Lord has a grudge on you because you feel you lost everything and he doesn't care. You keep on asking why it has to happen to you among all the people in the world. You pause for a while and think about the situation you are into but felt worst. I am telling you, I've been on that situation. Cried, asked, and blamed God. Who on earth will I blame? But, because of those so called situations, I was able to trust God and learned that above all, do not forget this, " Count Your Blessings".

I was 18 when my father died and just this January I lost my mother. I can't accept it, I'm only 22 with a budding career with so many plans for my mom, Yes, it ended so soon, The irony of life, when your world evolves only to that person and then suddenly death stole her from you. The most painful because you can't see her anymore. She will be completely lost physically. And the only thing you have is the memory you shared with them. Brutal, it is. Because of those turning point in my life. I've learned to count my blessings. I realize I was still blessed to be able to share my moments with them. I have them for a longer period than others. I was loved by them and made them smile while other people was not blessed to have parents. I saw how proud they are of me and how thankful they are because they have me in their life while many people search the world just to find the person that can be proud of them.

At a very young age, I was already sure of what I want to do. They lead me to the right direction and support me all the way. Though, I have lost them, I will always remember how they are very proud of me and wherever they are, I am sure they are smiling because their little "Kring2x" has achieved what they envision to become.

This situation may or may not happen to you. But life is too short to keep on asking and blaming why things happen opposite of what you expected. Count your blessings, they are everywhere. And the most important blessing is, inside of your heart. It never stops beating.

What is your most important blessings?

Note to Self: If You Do Not GO after What You Want, You'll Never Have It

Have you ever felt the feeling of wanting something so badly but never go after it and ended up blaming yourself to misery because you should have fought or tried to get it. the feeling is dire, everything that same questions still lingers on the mind "why did I let it go?". Then there is that little voice from screaming in your head "if you do not go after what you want, you'll never have it". And the next sequence would determine the life that you would take.

All of us, we will come to that point in our life that we need to make decisions. Whether in petty things or life changing, and the decision we would make and its outcome is very crucial. Just like what Robert Frost illustrated in his poem 'The Road not Taken". There are two possible outcome. There will always be choices. If you have the courage and go after what you feel is hard at first but would be easier a long the way. But if you are driven by fear and choose the other road that would make your life simpler at first and full of regrets as time goes by.

If you do not go after what you want, you'll never have it is a reminder that choices and decisions are crucial. And fear is its common denominator. Do not be driven by fear. Instead, by prayer and and petition, lay your burdens to the Lord. Offer your plans to him so that you'll not regret that you never take a leap of faith of going after what you want.
