Time flies fast. We just witnessed the opening ceremony of
the UAAP, tip off then the first and second round of elimination. Then now, we
saw four teams standing-the De La Salle Green Archers, NU Bulldogs, FEU
Tamaraws and UST Growling Tigers to name them. Some predictions failed and some
are right. The dark horses are the ones who prevailed but as the season ends, only
two teams will battle it out to be Season 76’s Basketball champion. Though
Ateneo Blue Eagles chance was gone for a historic 5 peat, a new team will also
reign supreme.
As the final four unfolds, FEU Tamaraws and NU Bulldogs both
have the twice to beat advantage. De La Salle Green Archers and UST Growling
Tigers need to muscle their way to the top in order for them to be part of the Finals which
is days from now. But, FEU Tamaraws lost their advantage as the Green Archers
snug two straight wins to book their ticket to the finals after more than three
years of drought. Thanks to the hero like performance of their usual suspects
LA Revilla, Jeron Teng , Vosotros and
Arnold Van Opstal. For the other side of the fence, NU Bulldogs and UST
Growling Tigers is not decided still of among the two will be going to the
finals at first since the Growling Tigers forced a do or die game. But yesterday,
all were on the edge of their seat when the Growling Tigers pull off a Historic
win to seal the deal with 79-69 win. The UST Growling Tigers is the first
number 4 seed to pull an upset against the number 1 seed. A history indeed.
UAAP Season 76 Greatness Never Ends is almost over but the
more the floor is getting hotter. Who will remain standing among these teams?
Who will be the greatest? Who among the De La Salles Green Archers and UST
Growling Tigers will be the last team standing?
Let’s watch it out!
Who’s your bet?
