Online Shop Review: Lazada

Hey there!

Thank you for reading my blog!

Today’s blog post is all about my favourite online shopping destination. I’ve been shopping for this site for more than a year. I have experienced ups and downs with the site and I believe I can give a wise review. The website I am reviewing is Lazada Philippines.

Launched in the Philippines last February 2012, it has become a go to website for different products from electronics to furniture.  It became a home for different brands from local to international. When I first visited the site, I was impressed with the variety of products to choose from. And until today, the site has been encouraging resellers to sell their product in the internet platform.

I do not trust online shops easily. I always make sure to do my research first. And Lazada has a lot of positive reviews that convinced me to make my first purchase. I barely recall my first order in the website but what made me appreciate it are there daily vouchers (it includes sale) and flash sales. I have never encountered that kind of website. It is a thumb up for me. Plus, they give discounts to different products every day.

When ordering in the website, one must first register in the site. Honestly, I can say it is easy to register and only require few minutes. When you are done registering, you can avail a 250 voucher on your first purchase. A good save! You can now start shopping! Lazada Philippines delivers anywhere in the Philippines. Delivery period depends on the area. As for me, I expect the delivery of my orders 5-6 days from dispatched. You will know if the items are already out for delivery because they will send you an email and text your number for the waybill details. Very convenient, isn’t it? There is a shipping fee amounting to 100 pesos if you purchase below 1000 pesos. Above 1000 is of free shipping.

If you will experience delay of orders just like what happened to me, you can always follow-up your orders on their social media platforms like facebook, instagram, twitter or on their website just fill-up the form. Once you have sent it, and email confirmation will be delivered to your email. They will also call you for update regarding your delayed orders. It is something I did not encounter with other sites. If you also have received defective, damaged or wrong items, you can make use of their return form and send it back to the nearest LBC outlet. They will get back to you once they received your return form slip.

What I love about Lazada is they live with their tagline “effortless shopping”. I did not exert much effort on shopping in the site, everything I is in there. Though I experience delay of shipment sometimes, there customer service has been efficient in informing me what is happening on my orders. I don’t have any negative comments on the website because I’ve been satisfied with the service they are giving me.

I do recommend Lazada on those people who love shopping in the comfort of their home. Whether its new trend on fashion, mobile, lifestyle and appliance, you know this site can live up to your expectation. I would rate it with 3.5 out of 5 because it has good quality products but the logistics are needed to be improved. Delayed of shipment has to be minimize specially from the products in the marketplace.

Here are some of the products I’ve bought in Lazada.

Happy Shopping!

One More Chance Sequel: Teaser Release

I was scrolling my Facebook when I learned that there is a sequel of One More Chance that stars my all time favourite tandem of Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. I was really excited that I immediately checked out Youtube for the video. And when I saw the teaser, I know, I really have to watch it. The teaser was about Popoy and Basha being asked about how there married life has been. They have different answers and the next scenes are they are screaming at each other to the point that Popoy questioned if it is right that they were back to each other’s arms.

It’s been years after the hit movie One More Chance but it still remained as a perennial favourite. The “you had me at my best, she had me at my worst, but you choose to break my heart” lines are still alive. Now, it is back. Will it leave a mark like the first movie? Watch for the teaser here and be the judge.

My Take: What you should know in Applying for a Philippine Passport

Credits to the Owner of the Photo
Hey there!
Thank you for reading my blog!

I recently applied for a Philippine Passport. I was really thinking that the process would be long and tricky but I find myself being wrong. It is fast if you backed yourself up with all the needed requirements. What I will be writing today is based on my own experience upon applying, you can certainly add more. Feel free to comment.

Be Early.

If you believe in the saying “early bird catches the worm” it is certainly applicable for this circumstance. Every day, a lot of Filipinos are applying for a passport. If you do not want too many delays and long hours of waiting. Be early, I was at the Department of Foreign Affairs office at 7:30 am and a lot of people already has been falling in line. I was six in the line.

Download and fill up the Application Form.

There is an application form when you apply for a passport. It is given in the DFA office but it is readily available on their website. Check out, You can see a downloadable version the form. As for me, I made sure I already downloaded and filled up the form before I went to the office. It gives me a lot of convenience especially when the guard checked that I have filled it up and made me ahead of the line because some of the applicants are not yet ready with their form.

Do not wear shorts.

I did not know that about the dress code for passport processing, but I opt for a formal look. I wore a shirt with collar and pants. Thankfully, my choice of fashion is right. In applying for a passport, do not wear shorts. One of the applicants I had close encountered with was sent back because of wearing knee shorts. It is one important rule that must be followed.
Research the Requirements and Photocopy.

Researching is something I really like to do and it paid off. I had my research first before I went to DFA office and thankfully I did. A lot of applicants on the line are not yet ready with their requirements thus it gives them longer on the office. The guard gives the requirements and require to photo copy it. Because I already photo copy my requirements, it made me to be the second in the line! So convenient to start my application, I got hyper.

Prepare your Original Documents.

After being encoded and given priority number, the government officer will call the numbers one by one and check if the photo copied documents are true and not tampered. So be sure to have your original docs ready. This is to give ease to the officer checking. If you do not bring your ID’s and other requirements, there is a possibility that the officer will decline your application.

 Give Exact Amount

When the officer approves your application, you can now pay for it. You need 900 pesos for passport application fee. The cashier will always ask for the exact amount. They will ask you to wait if you do not have exact amount. If you do not want that to happen to you, always have the amount ready,

Give your Best Smile and Correct Signature

If your done paying for the passport fee, you will be directed to the encoder that will encode your details on the database. The encoder will ask you to check your details if they are encoded correctly so pay attention. If you already approve it, the encoder will ask for your signature attesting that you approve the encoding. He/she will require you to have your photo taken for your passport. It is good to smile but do not show your teeth .The officer will also ask to have your signature in the digitalize board.

And it is done; you can now wait for your passport until the given period of time that you can claim it. Hope this blog post will help you when you apply for a passport!
