Hotel Watch: Bella Vista Hotel

Hey there!
Thank you for reading my blog!

How’s your week so far? Mine has been a whirl wind. So many reports to pass and deadline to meet, honestly, I am preparing for God’s strength to abide me. Finally, I have broken my blogging woes. Thanks to my renewed strength, I’m back to blogging again. Today I want to share my hotel experience with Bella Vista Hotel.

Last long weekend, I was able to book a round trip ticket with Cebu Pacific. And my destination is Cebu! It is my first time to visit Cebu and I am super excited. I have read different blog post about Cebu and I already look forward. My flight was on the afternoon so I decided to book a hotel near the airport. I want to rest first before exploring the big city. Nothing beats a well rested traveller, right? I have no idea what hotel to book so I decided to check Agoda.com (I will make a review with this website too!). They have a lot of deals that time and I was picking what’s best for me. I was turned between two hotels but I choose Bella Vista Hotel. It is because of the free breakfast by the way. I believe it is pricey for a budget traveller like me nevertheless I still push it.

I arrived at the Hotel late in the afternoon and I was greeted with their friendly staff. I like the courtesy they showed to me. They attended right away upon arriving at the doorstep. I was able to check my bookings fast and did not wait. I was just not prepared for the 1000 pesos deposit they asked from me.  Maybe because it was my first time to check-in in a hotel I didn’t know there is that kind of policy.

I love the ambiance of the hotel. I love there receiving area especially the huge chandelier at the top. Most especially, I love my room. It is very spacious, with complete amenities. It is clean and really stylish. The bed is heavenly. I just want to keep on sleeping! Ha-ha-ha. Seriously, if you want to relax? This hotel is for you. By the way I just want to take note of their good service as well. That time, there was a power interruption happened and they were prompt to use the generator. I was still able to use the aircon and watch TV. That for me is a good service.

By the way, this is my room. Take a tour.

Part of my hotel accommodation is a buffet breakfast. I went to the restaurant at 8 am and found out there are a lot of people eating as well. And did not wonder why, they have a lot of food to choose from. They have four main dishes, different kinds of morning drink from coffee to juice. If you’re not into rice you can pick bread or pancakes, and if you’re in diet you can have fruits or salad. They have desserts as well. I really love their food.  It is not only mouth watering when you look at, it is tasty as well when you start to take a bite. I enjoy my experience. There restaurant is adjacent to the receiving area.

Take a look.

Sadly, I was not able to visit there pool and recreation area. I saw it in the website. But even without visiting it, my stay is totally worth it. I loved my stay. I recommend this hotel. It is value for your money. For those people planning to visit Cebu, Bella Vista Hotel is a good place to stay. It is conveniently located at Pusok, National High Way, Lapu-lapu City. Enjoy your stay!

Shoe Watch: A Walk with Lakhambini

Hey there!

Thank you for reading my blog!

How was your day? I hope you are having a great time! I was super busy to start the year that I forgot about the New Year’s resolution I made and that is to blog more often. I remember that I wrote in my notebook about having 15 blog posts per month! Oopps, I don’t even have five posts for February, my bad. So I have to catch. I want to!

Today, I feature about a new local brand I love donning. I was a lucky winner of Budget Biyahera’s blog contest and the prize is a pair of Lakhambini shoes. Lakhambini is a 100% locally produced footwear from materials to construction. It aims to be great fit all around from both the customer and its local craftsmen. Secondly is to help sustain and preserve the livelihood of Filipino weavers and shoemakers well (words taken from budget biyahera’s blog).

Lakhambini’s tagline is “Fit for your Sole”. It was conceptualize by one and only Ms. Mai of Budget Biyahera-the designer and owner. It is the fruit of all her travel adventures. It is a new brand and well, it deserves our support. It does not only provide us with amazing pairs of shoes but every pair lakhambini you have gives pride to the thriving weaving industry we have.

My Experience with Lakhambini

When I received my first pair of Lakhambini which is the Romana, I instantly notice how it was weaved-very neat and intricate. You can see that the weaver is very attentive to details. It is only for the physical part. When I tried it, it is very comfortable to use. I love how they make the center part slightly raise. It is to support the feet to have the best experience. I did love the pair I have!
A closer look to Romana:

Here is my own OOTD featuring Lakhambini:  Paired it with a floral dress

Aside from Romana, they also have other styles to choose from!

Thoughtful Sunday: The “Single Thing”

Hey there!

How was your day so far? Happy Sunday everyone! Today I want to share my thoughts on how society perceived women in their mid twenties in the issue of getting married. I am not keen on talking about me being single and all my rants about it but I finally persuade to speak for myself in the context of why I am single even when I’m already 24. The persuasion happened when I went to my hometown to visit my friend who has two kids. I was bombarded with a lot of questions whether I am still single, when I am planning to get hitch and so on and so forth. I got my tongue twisted in answering all their questions.

I read that an average Filipina gets married in their mid twenties. Check, I am almost there. If am asked whether I am threatened? The answer would be NO. Honestly, I still question why many people are having a fuss when women in their mid twenties aren’t in a relationship or not married yet. It is as if women won’t be able to find a partner after they reach the big 3-0. The fact is it is not the case; even one gets married at the age of 35, as long as they stay married for a long time that what really matters most. Getting married is not a race that who gets hitch first will win. A lot of women getting married at a young age tend to break up because they did not totally enjoy being single. This is my point, why am I still single? Primary, it is a choice. This is not sweet lemoning. It is a fact. I was not able to fully enjoy being single. More so, I was not yet able to travel outside the country. It is my biggest goal. If I am able to do that, it would be the time I will start cramming to get myself a prince charming.

Single ladies in their mid twenties should not be stuck in the idea of getting hitch. The people who pressure you are not the once who will suffer when the relationship does not work. I believe that it is the perfect time to explore the world one place at a time. See places and discover inner self. It is vital in order to meet your special someone.
